WEBER Deslaging

Flame and Plasma Cutting

Wet or Dry Configurations

This thermal cutting technique is predominantly used for thick plates. Mechanical deburring, using the conventional grinding technique with grinding rollers, encounters increasing difficulties with larger plate thicknesses due to the existing thickness tolerances and the distortion which occurs. WEBER has found a convincing and economical solution to this problem with their development of a segmented grinding beam system. This grinding technique features constant deburring quality and increased operating life of the grinding belts compared to conventional roller grinding. This segmented grinding beam system allows multiple feed, thereby increasing the capacity of the deburring machine.

Punched, Nibbled and Laser-Cut Parts

Wet or Dry Configurations

This cutting technique is predominantly used for thin sheet metal plates. These plates are usually 1 to 6 mm thick and made of steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Deburring is performed using rubber faced contact pressure rollers, brush rollers with wire or Scotchbrite brushes and disc stations. This grinding method operates dry or wet. The new WEBER TT/TN series with one or two grinding rollers is an economical solution for first-time buyers. The WEBER MLC/NLC series is of modular design and has been developed to meet all industrial requirements.

WEBER Large Part Deburring

Wet or Dry Configurations

Deburring of large parts is performed by an electronically controlled segmented grinding beam system. This grinding technique detects the position and size of the material to be ground. A control system then precisely determines which areas are used, activating them only in the area of the flame cut edges. This reduces power consumption and minimises grinding belt wear and costs.

WEBER Sheet/Coil Grinding

Wet or Dry Configurations

Single-rolled sheet and coil grinding is performed using grinding rollers, finishing, if necessary, with Scotchbrite rollers. The grinding machines for this task are of modular design and are also available for grinding from both sides. An alternative to dry grinding is the wet grinding technique which requires an appropriate drying device.

WEBER Descaling

Descaling of sheet metal parts is performed by the electronically controlled segmented grinding beam system. The control system guarantees the precise approach and return of each beam in the edge area to prevent the edge from being ground off. The contact pressure of the grinding belt is controlled by the proven technique of the segmented grinding beam system. For this application it ensures a constant metal removing capacity for standard sheet metal tolerances.

WEBER Surface Finishing

Wet or Dry Configurations

Grinding rollers are used for performing decorative surface grinding. The machine is designed according to the requirements and the desired surface finish. Infeed and outfeed conveyors can be added to allow reversing operation. The machine control system allows preselection of the necessary settings such as grinding cycles and grinding pressure.
